Request deletion of your personal information from ScanLikely

Data Deletion Request

You can delete your data at any time, and you do not have to give a reason. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so through the following methods:

📱 In-App Deletion

The fastest way to delete your data is directly through the ScanLikely app:

  1. Open the ScanLikely app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Account
  4. Select Delete Account
  5. Confirm your request

Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.

📧 Email Request

You can submit your request with the form below, or email us directly. Both routes reach the same privacy team.

Please include the following information in your request:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete all data

Important Notes

🔒 Privacy-First Design

ScanLikely is designed with privacy in mind. Most QR code scanning and analysis happens locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.

⏰ Processing Time

Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been permanently deleted.

⚠️ Permanent Action

Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you have backed up any important information before proceeding.

Legal Basis

This data deletion process complies with:

  • GDPR Article 17 - Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • CCPA Section 1798.105 - Consumer's Right to Delete Personal Information
  • Various state privacy laws in the United States
